Austin Morrison, 28, stands accused of two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of 28-year-old Stephanie Strock and her unborn child. The incident occurred Oct. 26 at a home on West Avenue D in Heavener, Oklahoma.

Police went to the house for a welfare check and found Strock dead inside. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said her injuries were "consistent with homicide." Investigators determined Strock had been pregnant at the time of her death.

Law enforcement said that based on "information and evidence gathered from the scene," Morrison was with Strock earlier that evening "and physically assaulted her." After identifying Morrison as a suspect, agents found him walking near the residence and arrested him.

Morrison is detained in the Leflore County Detention Center. Bond has not been set. Authorities did not disclose how Strock was killed or provide a motive for the alleged killing.
